We are very excited that you are considering joining us on our very first Camp Okema Canoe Camp!
We will begin our week at Camp Okema and learn some vital canoeing skills. After that, we’ll head up to Stanley Mission and canoe from there to Nistowiak Falls. On the way we’ll get to see the largest waterfall in Saskatchewan, worship in the oldest church in Saskatchewan, see some Indigenous rock paintings, and learn to run some rapids! It’s a great trip for beginners and experienced paddlers alike.
You do not need any former experience to come on this trip, but you will need to commit to attending the Zoom meeting prior to camp which will take place in June so that we can go over this list and some expectations for camp. Parents are welcome to join us for that meeting.
You will also need to commit to coming to camp. Last minute cancellations will still cost the camp the cost of renting your canoe from the outfitters. So please follow through on your commitment to come! Please note Camp Okema’s refund policy, which will apply for any cancellations.
