We are very excited that you are considering joining us on our very first Camp Okema Canoe Camp!
We will begin our week at Camp Okema and learn some vital canoeing skills. After that, we’ll head up to Stanley Mission and canoe from there to Nistowiak Falls. On the way we’ll get to see the largest waterfall in Saskatchewan, worship in the oldest church in Saskatchewan, see some Indigenous rock paintings, and learn to run some rapids! It’s a great trip for beginners and experienced paddlers alike.
You do not need any former experience to come on this trip. We will schedule a zoom meeting with you to prepare you to pack. Parents are welcome to join us for that meeting.
Please note Camp Okema’s refund policy, which will apply for any cancellations.
There will be a zoom call for anyone interested in Canoe Camp on Wednesday, June 29th at 7PM. If you missed this meeting and would like to learn more or join, please email [email protected] and someone will reach out.
Drop off at 2pm on July 17th, pick up is at 11am on July 22nd, both at Camp Okema.
